Looking at the West Couloir on Rostafjellet near the Tamokdalen Valley

The photo above is the West Couloir of Rostafjellet one of a handful of skiable lines on the mountain. With a summit elevation of 1,590 it is the highest mountain within the Tamokdalen Valley. With the it being technical climbing on most aspects it is seldom visited. Though I was able to get out and explore a little bit of it I have only scratched the surface of what is possible.

A Closer Look at Rostafjellet

This is by far the most seen aspect of the mountain with Midteraksia Ridge leading to the summit of Rostafjellet. While it is possible to climb the route it would be a challenge to snowboard off the top.

The Southern Valley is another way to access the upper slopes. From our perspective the Southwest ridge seemed climbable to the upper plateau.
