This is the main bulk of my trip reports with over 180 ski tours. Growing up in the Cascades this is where I learned to Splitboard for almost 20 years. Living in Rovaniemi Finland these are some of the closest big mountains from my doorstep. Being a 2 hour drive away from the border and another 3 hours to the mountains it's a unique destination. Being mostly alpine mainly based out of the town of Kirovsk I've made 4 separate trips to the Kola Peninsula. The terrain ranges from wide open bowls to steep couloirs an all in between.

On my way to Northern Norway I was fortunate to do a side trip to Iceland. Having no idea what to expect I was blown away by the road side access and wide open terrain. While in Iceland we made our way out to the Westfjords and the mountains near Akureyri.

While staying in New Zealand I was fortunate to meet up with Adam West who is the creator of the OZ Splitfest. This was a great opertunity to explore both the Mountains and the OZ backcountry culture.

In 2012 I had the good fortune to make it down to South America with the Sweetgrass Film Crew. Working on the Solitaire Film we arrived in Bolivia for 3 weeks of touring the high country. After that I made my way down to Argentina and explored Las Lenas with them battling harsh winds and low snow. Though the stars didn't align that often when they did it was all time.
