We met up with Wyatt and Yancy Caldwell at Sun Valley Idaho and with the use of sleds made our way into there backcountry zone.
We would use the sleds to get 3/4 up the slope then skin the final 10 minutes only to have a sled waiting for you at the bottom of the line. It was a great way to get the goods.
The storm had dropped off about a foot of dry blower powder which made for easy skinning.
That night we put the sleds back in the trailers as the Alpenglow went off.
The final day of the trip we stayed Wyatts truck in a random remote location.
Got a lift up thanks to Sun Valley Ski Resort and headed to the backcountry gate.
We made it into an old burn zone that had epic tree features.
It was awesome spending some time hanging out with the Caldwell brothers.
We made the best out of a thin and wet snowpack all the way to Wyatts truck at the bottom of the valley.
It was a awesome trip taking a bit of time to see other places but the snow had fallen back home in the Cascades.
