Rostakulen is better known as Pyramid Peak and the North face on the West side of the Tamokdalen Valley. After the long and somewhat mellow approach it is usually cramponing the last 500 meters. This tour is perfect for late afternoon as that is when the sun lights up the main face. Though this peak is mainly know for the this side there are a few additional lines to the adventurous.
A Closer Look at Rostakulen
The North face has two main chutes on the left side but it also goes in the middle and the right hand side. The most popular approach is wrapping around the cliffs on the left hand side.
This is probobaly the most popular view of Rostakulen from Istinden Ridge behind Tamokhuset.
